John Pennell, the new Director of USAID mission in Georgia, and Leah Kaplan, director of the Office of Democracy, Human Rights and Governance, visited the Center for Development and Democracy (CDD) office and learned about the organization's activities. CDD Executive Director Ketevan Chachava and Chairman of the Board Mikheil Mirziashvili introduced the current programs, projects, future plans and initiatives of the organization to the guests.
The 30-year partnership between Georgia and the United States of America was also discussed at the meeting. Ketevan Chachava thanked the American partners for their strong and unwavering support and solidarity with Georgia over the years.
