In response to a vigorous advocacy campaign spearheaded by both domestic observation organizations and international donor and partner entities, by the legislation - Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms, and Trainings has been entrusted with the authority to allocate grants to domestic observer organizations. These grants encompass three key categories: organizational support grants, voter education grants, and political party development grants. In the democratic process emphasis on voter education and awareness-raising initiatives is crucial. Recognizing the significance of an informed electorate, CDD has prioritized various strategies to enhance voter understanding and participation. With a particular focus on youth engagement and first-time voters, CDD has conducted election day simulations, concerts and implemented wide-ranging awareness raising campaigns. Leveraging a robust platform established with support from the Council of Europe, CDD has seamlessly transitioned to sustain these vital efforts, thanks to funding from the Center of Electoral Systems Development, Reforms, and Trainings. By empowering citizens with the knowledge and tools necessary for active civic engagement, these endeavors fortify the democratic fabric of the nation. A pivotal aspect of the grant allocation process was the adherence to principles of transparency and fairness, underscored by the implementation of an open competition framework. Additionally, a commission comprised of esteemed international organizations such as IFES, OSGF, IRI, NDI, CoE and others was instrumental in overseeing the selection process, ensuring accountability and upholding international standards.
