121 Georgian CSOs and media organizations file a lawsuit against “Russian Law”
121 Georgian non-governmental and media organizations are continuing the legal battle against the Russian law by filing a complaint with the Constitutional Court of Georgia. Alongside the complaint, we are requesting, as a provisional measure, the suspension of the unconstitutional provisions of the law until the court issues a final decision. The constitutional complaint once again clearly confirms that this law violates the right of each individual to unite with like-minded people for the common good and to help others. By adopting this Russian law, the authorities are creating a hostile and degrading environment, which threatens the rights and freedoms of association, expression, and other rights. We hope that the Constitutional Court will exercise its powers as soon as possible and suspend the enforcement of the law's relevant provisions.
