The presidential elections will be held on Sunday, 27th of October - The head of the presidential administration, Mr Barnov announced after meeting with representatives of non-governmental organizations.

Administration of the President on July 3, at 19:30pm hosted a meeting with representatives of NGOs , who released a "Call On to the President by the Non-Govermental Organizations Regarding to Changing the Date of Elections." At the meeting, representatives of non-governmental organizations have stated various arguments why the election day should have changed. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Center for Development and Democrasy- Kate Chachava. 

As Mr. Andro Barnov explained at the briefing, after the meeting with NGOs he met the President, and the decision regarding to the changing the date of election is made. According to him, this decision will be formally signed in the nearest future. Besides, according to the head of the presidential administration, for Mikhail Saakashvili the date of elections is not principally important, and since there were important arguments stated by the non-governmental organizations that should have been bore in mind before, these arguments were taken into account.
