The Center for Development and Democracy published the final summary of the monitoring report of Representative and executive bodies of local self-government elections in 2014 on Today, November 10th.
The Centre for Development and Democracy (CDD), with the financial support of "Open Society Georgia" (OSGF), observed local representative and executive bodies the 2014 elections in the 73 constituencies in the 150-strong observer mission. Monitoring was carried by using the modern methodology. CDD observed the election during the polling day (the opening, the voting process and PS), and the post-election process.
The summary report focuses on the 15th June 2014 elections, a local representative and executive bodies of the pre-election period, Election Day, post-election period and evaluation procedures, as well as the re-elections of June 29th and July 12th at Mayors / Governors second round.
The final report contains detailed descriptions of all the important issues and the fact that the 2014 local elections preceded it, as well as an analysis of all the positive and negative process that had an impact on the election process and its results.
In the report you can find detailed description of the organization's recommendations, which we believe will significantly improve the election environment and ensure the democratic processes in Georgia qualitatively better, transparent, fair elections.
