By the iniciative of the Central Election Commission with the support of the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) was held a meeting for the epresentatives of civil society and the media in the hotel "Tbilisi Marriott". The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Center for Development and Democracy - Kate Chachava.

Representatives of CEC, non-governmental organizations, and media discussed the format of the future relations, and the prospects of collaboration.

It should be noted that by organizing these kind of meetings by the CEC, in close collaboration with IFES, creates the mechanism for the collaboration and information exchange, which on the one hand, ensures involvement of the civil society and media and enhancing their information awareness, and on the other hand, will help the Central Election Commission to determine its goals and directions.
