On 5 May Interagency Commission for Free and Fair Elections arranged its regular meeting at Public Hall. The meeting was attended by the commissioners, representatives of political parties and nongovernmental sector. The CDD was represented by its chairperson – Ketevan Chachava and the lawyer – Gorda Surguladze.

Representatives of political parties and nongovernmental organizations discussed pre election violations during the meeting.

Representatives of Prosecutor’s Office and the Ministry of Internal Affairs provided information about prevention of pre election violations.

According to the recommendation of Interagency Commission political parties should elaborate internal disciplinary rules for their members.

According to second recommendation local self government bodies should as much as possible avoid the procedures for impeachment of governors and gubernators until 15 May.

Third recommendation was about termination of competitions at self government bodies before elections.

The commission planned to work on the use of administrative resource later.
