On 14 May the CEC with support of IFES arranged meeting with the representatives of nongovernmental sector and media, at the hotel Holiday Inn. The meeting was attended by the CDD chairperson – Ketevan Chachava and the lawyer – Gorda Surguladze.   

The CEC chairperson provided the participants with information about operation of the CEC, PECs and accreditation procedures. Tamar Zhvania also presented statistics about the registered candidates for mayor and domestic and international observer organizations.

Periodic working meetings with media an nongovernmental organizations develop mechanism for cooperation and exchange of information, which ensures maximal engagement of civil sector in electoral processes, and facilitates to effective operation of electoral administration.
