On 12 June 2014 joint event of the CEC and Election Systems Development Reforms and Training Center was held at the hotel Holiday Inn, within the frame of which 22 NGOs presented the projects funded by grant competition for Local Elections 2014. CDD presented its successful project - We are voting, join us! 

Mentioned projects were implemented to following directions determined as priorities:

• First direction – informing voters about local elections 2014;
• Second directions – promoting gender equality in electoral processes for local elections 2014;
• Third direction – study the aspects of engagement of ethnic minorities and people with disabilities in electoral processes and determining respective needs;
• Fourth direction – promoting capacity building of political parties engaged in electoral processes since 2010 (regional profile) for local elections 2014.

The event was opened by the CEC chairperson – Tamar Zhvania, the participants were welcomed by the director of training center – Natia Zaalishvili, who talked about the importance of cooperation between the CEC training center and NGOs, which ensures revealing of the projects within the frame of grant competition, which would promote development of electoral environment, improvement of voters’ awareness and increase engagement of electorate in electoral processes.
