Project “Georgia and European Union” Final conference

On July 28th in the hotel “RedisonBluIveria” was held final conference of the project “Georgian and European Union”. The center for Development and Democracy (CDD) with the education system of Georgian Patriarchate and Education center named after St. Davit Agmashenebeli with the support of Kingdom of Nederland and British Embassy organized a pilot project “Georgia and European Union”. During the Project informational meetings about “Georgia and European Union” were held to representatives of orthodox schools and Gymnasiums of various eparchy in Georgia. The presentations covered topics about “history of Georgian and European Union”, “Association agreement between Georgia and European Union”, “Visa free travel between EU and Georgia”.

 

 

The conference was attended by the bishops and elesiastics, representatives of the Netherlands, Great Britain and the United States Embassies, the government and parliamentary representatives, and the project experts. As well as the representatives of local and international NGOs.

 

 

On the conference was presented video and photo materials taken during the project. The guest speakers and involved parts talked about the importance of the project, future plans and prospects for the further development.  At the end of the conference was an interesting discussion between the guest speakers and representatives.
