On January 25th-26th, was held a meeting by Georgian Parliament’s interfractional group and non-parliamentary political parties about electoral reforms in Kobuleti.
The chairperson of the Center for Development and Democracy (CDD) Ketevan Chachava introduced to members of interfractional group’s recommendations by 7 organizations (Center for Development and Democracy (CDD), of the Constitution, Article 42, Human Rights Center, the Election Environment Development Centre (EEDC), the Democratic Initiative (GDI), the Georgian Association of Regional Broadcasters (GARB), Media Development Foundation (MDF) for the local Self-government elections. 2014. During the meeting were presented recommendations, reviews and discussion.
Non-governmental organizations continue active advocacy campaign to make the given recommendations in the current legislation which we believe is substantially better for transparent elections.
