The non-governmental organizations which work on Women's rights and gender issues support the initiative of political party "New Rights" to promote women's political participation.

The initiative is about increasing the number of women in the party lists by political parties in the legislation on "Political Unions of Citizens", and any level of elections.

According to the proposal, candidates from all political parties would be obliged to provide lists of every 10 candidates to be at least 20% between the different genders. The party will get 30% of the financial supplement, if the party list of candidates for each of 10 different genders, will be at least 30%.

The initiative aims to promote women's empowerment and their participation in politics. This amendment should be introduced to ensure women's political participation; In addition, the legislation is in conformity with international norms and standards, such as: eliminating discrimination against women on the Convention (CEDAW), the United Nations on violence against women directed by the Committee of the recommendations (CEDAW / CE / GEO / 3), on Civil and Political Rights Pact, Convention on the Political Rights of Women, the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action.
