The project about database elimination of identification duplication was held On February 27th, in the hotel "Holiday Inn". The goal of the project is to set out the exact voter data for 2014 local government elections which can provide an increase confidence in the electoral lists.
Through the electronic photo-system database of State Services Development Agency's will be reviewed citizens’ last photograph to compare the database of other people with the latest photos, in caase of existing duplication, the system detects a similar photographs with a different identification data, the project team will individually approach, if proven, that the various Identification data on the photos belong to the same person, similar type of database records will be corrected. This, in turn, fixes the identifications of the electoral database. This process will simplify both the identification of the voter’s data and verification of electoral’s district.
The conference was attended by representatives of the executive and legislative branches, CEC, international and local non-governmental organizations, including the executive director of the Center for Development and Democracy Ketevan Chachava.
