Project “Political Schools” has started

Today, September 10th, in the city of Rustavi USAID-'s CCE opened a project "to support the development of political parties in the regions, ensuring a competitive political environment."

 

 

Under the project, the 8 regional self-governing cities of Rustavi, Telavi, Akhaltsikhe, Gori, Kutaisi, Ozurgeti, Zugdidi and Batumi, in parallel function mode will take part in "Political schools", where will be trained only  from last three years participants in general elections from 15 political parties (as qualified and unqualified), in total more than 200 regional representatives and activists.

 

 

 

The project, meetings will be held every day from 11:00 am - 17:00 period in CCE. Political parties will be introduced to important issues such as the electoral cycle, the election ethics, elections and electoral systems to international standards, minimum standards for democratic operation of political parties, the most important aspects of equality policies (gender, persons with disabilities, ethnic minorities), political campaigns and others.

 

During the project Schools will pay attention to give accurate information about 27th June 2014 and signed with the EU-Georgia Association Agreement and the visa liberalization process. This issue is very significant and important for regional representatives of political parties.

 

Meetings will be conducted by qualified trainers / experts, who have years of experience in organizing and conducting training for local and international election observation missions in the management and operation of political parties.
