According to the high sensitivity and the public interest about ongoing trial of Rustavi 2 TV, it’s essential to be transparent, fair and open process and free from any political interference.

Free and independent media is a supreme value of democracy. "Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression. This right includes the right to hold opinions without interference ideas, receive and spread information with any media regardless of borders". (UDHR, Article 19)
