A presentation of the project results “Supporting Political Parties’ development in the Regions to Create Competitive Political Environment” was held in the hotel Ambasadori.
At the presentation the statistical data and consequential information regarding the process, achievements and challenges of Political Schools held in eight self-governing cities such as Rustavi, Akhaltsikhe, Telavi, Batumi, Ozurgeti, Zugdidi, Gori and Kutaisi implemented within September-November was introduced.
The final event was attended by the representatives of political parties participating in the project (both qualified and unqualified), representatives of the local and international organizations, the media and the donor organizations, regional coordinators and experts of the Center for Development and Democracy (CDD).
The representatives of the political parties positively assessed the results achieved in the framework of the project and expressed their willingness and readiness to participate in the similar projects in the future. According to their assessment long-term implementation of similar educational activities on the issues of their interest is necessary for the representatives of the political parties to raise their qualification, which will ensure promotion of internal party democracy and support its efficient and proper functioning, both, in the capital and in regions.
At the end of the meeting the political parties were awarded with the Certificates of Gratitude for cooperation and active participation in the project.
Ketevan Chacahva, the chairperson of the Center for Development and Democracy thanked each person and organization for their contribution to the project and “Center for Electoral System Development, Reform and Training” for cooperation and financial support.
