Minister of Corrections in Georgia Kakha Kakhishvili had a meeting with the representatives of NGOs. The meeting was attended by the Center for Development and Democracy (CDD) chairperson Ketevan Chachava.
On July 30th was organized the event by the Center for Democracy and Development (CDD) with the Georgian Institutional Development Center (GIDC) and financial support of (OSGF) “Open Society of Georgia Foundation”. During the project was presented the evaluation of work done by Flat owners Partnership Association and was analyzed current challenges.
On July 28th in the hotel “Redison Blu Iveria” was held final conference of the project “Georgian and European Union”.
The staff members of Center for Development and Democracy are deeply distressed for disaster that happened in Tbilisi and took people’s life. We offer our support to all the families and friends, this is huge loose for our country and for each citizen. It is very important unite the society of Georgia: the government and the citizens for the overcome and eradication if disaster.
Was established civil society platform according to Article 412 Association agreement within Georgia and EU and executive director of CDD Ketevan CHachava was chosen as a member.
On May 31, local self-governing body - the City Council election will be held in Senaki and Zugdidi districts. (Majoritarian system elections will be held in the following districts: №64 Senaki №64.13 Potskho and №67 Zugdidi, №67.11).
"The Center for Development and Democracy" is monitoring in all three districts local self-government body - the City Council election. Monitors are observing the voting day procedures, which includes: the opening of voting stations, the voting process, the closing of voting stations and the counting of results.
In cooperation with education system of Patriarchy of Georgia and Davit Agmashenebeli Education Center, with financial support of the Embassies of the Kingdom of Netherlands and United Kingdom, CDD organized information meetings on topic _ Georgia and EU” in different eparchies, for the representatives of schools and lyceums of Patriarchy.
The chairperson of CDD – Ketevan Chachava made a speech on “the role and experience of the organizations engaged in confidence building in transformation of conflicts existing in Goergia”. at the Session of Temporary Commission on Territorial Integrity held at the First Republic Hall on 24 April.
The chairperson of CDD – Ketevan Chachava together with Women’s Forum Georgia visited UN head office in New York, where special session of CSW59 was held, dedicated to the discussions of the results made by 20 years upon adoption of Beijing Platform.
On 15 February CDD in cooperation with Davit Agmashenebeli Education Center under the Patriarchy of Georgia and with support of the Embassies of the Kingdom of Netherlands and UK organized training seminar – Georgia and EU for the teachers of schools and lyceums of Patriarchy of Georgia.
