The Parliament passed the amendments in the Electoral Code at the first session. On July 25, the talk - show "Public Policy" was devoted to the topic - Changes in the Election Code.
Due to celebrating the 237th Independence Day of the Unitaed States of America the US Embassy in Georgia hosted a reception for the representatives of the diplomatic corps, government, political parties, international organizations and civil society. The presidential elections will be held on Sunday, 27th of October - The head of the presidential administration, Mr Barnov announced after meeting with representatives of non-governmental organizations.
"We believe that the President should use his right to appoint the election date in the way to maximally encourage the activity of voters, both inside and outside the country, and ensure the possibility for the citizens to realize the right of voting."
The representatives of the Center for Democracy and Development (CDD) - Ms. Shorena Japaridze and Ms. Mary Alughishvili participated in OSCE / ODIHR- short term observation mission and monitored the parliamentary elections of the Republic of Albania on 23rd of June, 2013.
Thousands of volunteers, representatives of ministries, municipalities , universities and schools, companies and non-governmental organizations participated in the national clean-up promotion on 16th of June. The large-scale campaign of protecting environment reached Tbilisi and almost all other regions. Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD) has joined the cleaning campaign. Regional representatives of the organisation actively participated in the clean-up actions.
According to the Programme "for 2012 ( parliamentary ) , 2013 (presidential ) and 2014 ( local) elections" of European Council was held a round table on 7th of June on the theme "Legislation Reform of Financing Political Parties and their Campaign in Georgia".
