The CDD observers submitted complaints to the District Election Commissions during the local elections 2014. The appeals were related to the responsibility of the PEC members, since the summary protocols were filled in violation of the law.
On 10 July the chairperson of CDD – Ketevan Chachava with special invitation provided the training for the members of observing mission of the Embassies of USA, UK and Netherlands, who will monitor second round of local elections 2014.
CDD observing mission assessed positively the process of repeated balloting. The process went in calm and organized environment in compliance with the legislation in force.
According to information provided by observing mission, polling day procedure all over the country went in organized manner, in compliance with procedures and respectively was assessed positively by observing mission.
CDD observed local elections of 15 June 2014 in 73 districts, with its 150 member observing mission.
On 12 June 2014 joint event of the CEC and Election Systems Development Reforms and Training Center was held at the hotel Holiday Inn, within the frame of which 22 NGOs presented the projects funded by grant competition for Local Elections 2014. CDD presented its successful project - We are voting, join us!

On E-Day help line will work at the CDD. The citizens can be consulted on polling procedures via help line. Besides, journalists and media organizations can receive information and local consultations on electoral procedures, polling day violations and the ways for responding to them. They also will be able to provide information about violations detected by them on polling day.
