On August 16, David Narmania, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure, and his deputies - Tengiz Shergelashvili and Shota Marghulia held a meeting with local and international observer organizations. The meeting was attended by Chairperson of the Center of Development and Democracy - Kate Chachava.

Collection of audio poems written by the great Georgian poet, Tariel kharkhelauri, was published, in which the author himself is reading his work. The audio Project "Itsnos Sopelman" is implemented by the society of literature "Verkvlistsikheli". The project is supported by the dioceses of Tianeti and Pshavi - Khevsureti, Center of Democracy and Development (CDD), Public Broadcasting Radio FM 102,4, Studio "Bu".

There was held a meeting with the representatives of civil society and Media at the hotel “Radisson Blue Iveria” with the initiative of the Central Election Commission in partnership with the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES).  The meeting was attended by the Chairperson of Center of Democracy and Development (CDD) - Kate Chachava.

On August 2 there was a presentation at the hotel “Radisson Blue Iveria” organized by UN Office in Georgia, at which Georgia was officially involved in the United Nations' global survey “My World” to improve the sustainability of the world. The presentation was attended by the Chairperson of the Center of Development and Democracy - Kate Chachava.

There was an extended meeting of the IETF. There were discussed a number of important issues and violations recorded by the political parties, local organizations and the media.

There was a change in the code of “Budget of Autonomous Republic of Adjara 2013” on 24th of July, 2013 according to which the budget of autonomous republic of Adjara increased by 14 722 700 Gel out of which 13 554 400 Gel will be spent for infrastructure and social projects.

The Parliament passed the amendments in the Electoral Code at the first session. On July 25, the talk - show "Public Policy" was devoted to the topic - Changes in the Election Code.

In the competition announced by the Elections Systems Development, Reforms, and Training Center on June 21, 2013, 6 projects were granted, among which there is a project "Strong Observing Organizations - To Improve the Election Environment" submitted by the "Center for Development and Democracy".

With this letter we would like to ask you to enhance your efforts in Georgia/region against the policy of Russian Federation to build new, insuperable "borders". or to constract different forms of barricades, steel wires, concrete structures, walls, sitches on the teritory of Georgia.
